Well, we now have a full set of V5 gear in the store!
All that I can say is that I am very impressed with the new setup! Over the years I've had the opportunity to test out Vaughn gear right from the first conception of the V-1 pads and I've made many mods and experimented with some interesting setups.
At this point in time, I really find the V5 gear to be very fine tuned!
They've added in several of the mods that I have put on my last set of V4 pads so I am very glad to say that I won't be putting very many mods on my new setup. All in all, the pad still has that
Some of the key features added in the V5 pad for for 2012:
- HD foam on inside shin area - for a bit more stability when down in the butterfly or when doing lateral powerslides.
- full one piece thick knee block - one of those areas I have been asking for years to have. They've finally done it. This is a similar setup that Carey price has used for the last couple of years.
- thinned out thighrise and pad = lighter weight
